What is venusian or carboxytherapy?
Venusian or carboxytherapy is a revolutionary new treatment for the correction of cellulite and localized fat. It is based on transferring the medical carbon dioxide by using a micro-needle into the affected area, intradermally or subcutaneously.
How does venusian act, meaning the injection of carbon dioxide to the cellulite and localized fat?
By transferring the carbon dioxide, the body automatically increases the blood flow in the treated areas.
Blood hemoglobin releases large amounts of oxygen in the area in order to absorb the medical carbon dioxide which is then naturally released through our breathing.
The increased blood flow to the area causes the removal of toxins and improves the microcirculation, resulting to the correction of the cellulite and localized fat, mainly due to these reasons.
Also areas with strong local fat deposits are extremely improved, thanks to mechanical pressure applied to the fat cells by the dioxide, breaking their membrane and preventing their accumulation.
Is the venusian treatment painful?
The treatment is well tolerated and does not require local anesthesia or ice prior to application.
Does the treatment with the use of carbon dioxide for the correction of the cellulite have complications?
The carbonated treatment has no complications. A small bruise may appear rarely.
How many sessions are required?
The number of sessions depends on the problem. But an average of 6-8 sessions is usually needed.
Is the venusian treatment combinable with other treatments for cellulite and local fat?
All treatments for cellulite like mesotherapy, LPG, accent and PDO threads can be combined with venusian therapy; as well as all the tightening and lipolysis treatments, such as cryolipolysis and aqualyx.
Dr Anastasia Tzouma will assess your problem and will suggest the appropriate combinable treatment protocol for you.
